The Oak Park Fire Department will offer a variety of life-saving classes throughout the year ahead, including CPR and training in how to use an automated external defibrillator, or AED.

Four different classes will be offered – infant/child CPR, Heartsaver/first aid, Heartsaver/AED and AED training for health care providers.

Classes will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Department’s certified American Heart Association community training center in the main fire station, 100 N. Euclid Ave. All courses are taught by an AHA-certified instructor.

Classes are free for Oak Park residents, but a $10 textbook fee payable by check or money order is required. In-person registration is recommended at least two weeks prior to the date of the desired course.
