Review by Ed Vincent

Christine Steyer has been going to local schools and bringing her tremendous talents,
as an opera star, to kids of all ages and backgrounds.  A few days ago she had been singing for a group of young kids and when she had concluded her performance
the kids had all moved closer to her and formed a small
circle around her, they liked her and her singing.  That day was a success because Christine Steyer  wants people to appreciate
and enjoy the instrument of the human voice.

Singer extraordinaire, Christine Steyer, a powerful lyric Soprano is
also a gifted spokesperson for Opera and arts of voice and theater.

Many of Christine Steyer's outreach performances have been from philanthropic donors, people who love the arts and music and their money has been well spent from the joy on the faces
of  the classes we have seen.  The kids and young adults get to
witness some incredible arias and show tunes sung by a woman who has performed with and for some of the best Operas in the world.  Steyer's repertoire is extensive and covers arias in German, French, Italian, and English.

The question and answer period of the first part of the day's
performance was filled with a lot of valuable information that covered everything all the jobs found at an Opera house,
what to drink before and during singing, staying healthy and fit,
costumes and mishaps on stage, and any question that the kids could ask.

Christine Steyer and the work she is doing, gives hope and inspiration to countless children both in music classes and
the general public, those who may someday buy tickets to an
Opera or Broadway show.  For many years operas have seen
cuts in funding and challanges attracting new and younger audiences to their productions, Christine Steyer is helping to
save the culture of the vocal arts for the future.
