Singer/songwriter Cat Catalani Presents
“Harry Potter Songs for Muggles”
Nov.
2
School-age children are invited
to dress in Harry Potter
costumes for a free concert with
singer/
Cat Catalani titled “Harry Potter
Songs for Muggles” on
Saturday, Nov. 2, at 10:30 a.m.
at Maze Branch Library,
845 S. Gunderson.
The Harry Potter books by J. K.
Rowling have captured
the imagination of many children
and adults, including singer
and guitarist Cat Catalani, who
will perform her original songs
inspired by the Harry Potter books.
Her creative songs include
“If I Had an Invisibility Cloak,”
“Every Flavor Beans,” and
“Nearly Headless Nick.”
Catalani’s songs have parts for
children, making it easy to
participate and sing along. She
brings along funny wigs and
props, inviting a few children
on stage to participate in each
of the songs. Catalani is a full-time,
professional musician who
gives about 250 concerts per year.
This Saturday Morning Live! program,
funded by the Friends
of the Oak Park Public Library,
is geared for school-age children.
The program is free, but
tickets are required. Visit the Maze
Branch Library to pick up tickets.
