Letter to the Editor

On behalf of Carolyn Hodge-West, Bill Higgins, and myself, we wish to congratulate David Pope, Ray Johnson and Bob Milstein on their success at the polls April 1. While we opposed them in March as candidates, we support them now as Trustees.
 

Government is not a spectator sport and this election shows how good candidates make good government. In this time of political conflict, this little municipal election takes on greater significance as it makes the idea that self-determination requires constant participation relevant. 

We, Carolyn-Hodge West, Bill Higgins and I, shall support our elected officials and will assist the new and sitting trustees in any way that we can. We have relationships that precede this election and wish to continue those good relations into the future. 

The end of this campaign is only the beginning of the challenges for the trustees-elect. We wish them continued success, for in that way, we all succeed.
