with multiple levels and plenty of turns. A fun and

Ana Beatriz (full
name is Ana Beatriz Caselato Gomes de Figueiredo)
one of the rising stars in the Indy Lite series (renamed
from the Indy Pro Series), is a charming, talented driver
with a bright future ahead of her.

Ana
Beatriz began her love for racing when she was just 6 years old.
She watched Formula 1 racing on the local television in Brazil with her
dad. Her older sister was not as impressed with the cars wizzing
by and making fast turns. Ana's older sister likes books more
than sports, Ana likes both books and sports, she has a business
degree with a major in finance and played
a whole bunch of varied sports.
Ana Beatriz began her driving experience at
a small go-cart track right near the famous Sao Paulo track Interlagos,
and
the go-cart track was scaled down but designed to resemble
the layout of the larger Formula 1 Interlagos track. Ana
Beatriz is a friend of the well known Tony Kanaan (Tony
Kanaan Website) and they both drove at the same go-cart
track
in Sao Paulo when they were kids and had the same coach as well.
Nailor Campos, called Nô, was the coach for both of them, and he
has a good reputation for turning out champs.
We spoke about her driving as a young woman, I thought
maybe she was a wild child on the streets, but that was not
the case. You can drive in Brazil at the age of 18 years and
she kept her racing exploits to the track, she only got 3
speeding tickets in Sao Paulo in 4 years of driving and they
were all for no more than 10 miles over the posted limits.
We hope she safely exceeds all the limits on the track with
success and victory.
A
spinout brings out the caution lighting and assistance is provided
to get the vehicle back into the race.

The
Winners for the night are Logan, Shaun G., and Eric P.
Logan Gomez in the center is the winner and the hometown favorite from
Crown Point Indiana. Second place went to Sean Guthrie on the
left and Eric P. from the Indy 500 Media Staff took third.

Emerson
Fittipaldi, named after my Elementary school-
Ralph Waldo Emerson, has a great sense of humor and a
warm outgoing attitude. We had the priveledge of riding
beside him for a couple of laps around the Brickyard at
speeds of 180 mph plus (video
above). He will
be driving
the very same car that we were in on media day.
